Traditional Agency Model includes the following:
- The consumer delegates an agency as the employer, the agency handles all aspects of payroll processing and workers compensation claims
- The agency will select, hire and employ attendants
- The agency supervises the attendants and assignments will be based on availability of staff and not necessarily by the consumer’s choice
- Agency provides trainings for all attendants
- Per Pennsylvania Department of Health, all attendants are required to have TB tests and Criminal Background checks prior to working
Consumer Delegated Model includes the following:
- The consumer will delegate Voices as the employer and Voices will handle all aspects of payroll processing and worker’s compensations claims
- Voices will provide assistance in locating additional attendants for the consumers who request that assistance giving the consumer the ability to interview and select their attendants.
- Voices will provides trainings for all attendants
